Upcoming Events - June 21/22 ~ OWSC 3rd Slalom, 2rd Trick, 2rd Jump Competition - August 30 ~ OWSC 3rd Slalom Competition

In light of current worldwide events I thought I would drop you a message we an update with what is going on.

We are open as normal with some slight differences to keep everyone as safe as possible and according to current Government guidelines. It is a good idea to familiarize your self with these online as they are forever changing.

We have deep cleaned the clubhouse and changing rooms but are asking everyone to use the hand sanitizers before and after entering these areas (this is in very short supply so if you have your own please bring it) and use the anti bacterial sprays provided on any surface you come in to contact with. We ask to keep the changing areas to one person at a time and please be aware we have closed the showers to help us stay on top of things.

Please use your common sense and if you feel unwell to stay away and when you are at the lake please be considerate of the others around you.

Our aim as a community is to encourage everyone to limit the likely spread of COVID-19 to those most vulnerable. We are reviewing the situation daily

At a time when everything around us is going mad hopefully we will see you at the lake soon for some government recommend fresh air and exercise and some sense of normality. Thank you for your continued support.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, stay safe

Young or old we have everything on hand to get you on the water!!

Oxford Wakeboard & Ski Club (OWSC) with its two sheltered lakes, top class tournament boats, facilities and friendly atmosphere, offers a centre of excellence for all disciplines of Water skiing and Wakeboarding. From beginners to experienced skiers/riders; we have what you need to get the confidence and ability to ski like a professional...

Former British Waterski and Wakeboard (BWSW) Head Coach and Under 21 Team Captain, Steve Glanfield is now based at Queenford Lakes and is responsible for the day to day coaching and smooth running of OWSC.

OWSC is always keen to welcome new members of all levels and ability. Whether you ski for fun, fitness or want to compete at any level, we will do our best to make your time on the water enjoyable. We are affiliated with British Waterski and Wakeboard (The National Governing Body for Waterskiing and Wakeboarding BWSW) and offer Boat Driver training and offer the SBD Level 2 and 3 courses operated under the BWSW governing body guidelines.

At OWSC you have access to dedicated tournament ski boats and a wakeboard boat. The Wakeboard Boat is fitted with a tower and puts out a monster wake for the more experienced  riders. The tournament ski boat is used for beginner riders and slalom skiers and has the added advantage of a removable training boom for beginner lessons. All boats are equipped with Zero Off cruise control to guarantee the most accurate towing speeds and both have been converted to run on LPG (Liquid Propane Gas) so we don’t pollute the air or water!

We have a large selection of equipment including boards, skis and wetsuits so even if you are new to the sports we can get you out on the water in a safe, fun and friendly environment. We even have a sauna for you to warm up in after your time on the water and hot showers on site.

Home to the current World Slalom Champion, Freddie Winter, he can be found relaxing at the club in between sets socialising with the members while he is back in the UK, he is often behind the wheel of the boat, driving and passing his knowledge on to anyone that is interested.

We currently operate from a fully equipped clubhouse at Queenford Lakes Watersports Centre in South Oxfordshire (OX10 7PQ). The Club has free parking is easily accessible from main roads, bus or train (Call for directions).

If you can’t wait to get on the water BOOK NOW to register, book and pay for your tow via our on-line booking system but remember you get better prices and can book further in advance if you become a paid up member of Oxford Wakeboard & Ski Club.
